Is there a thinner RM copper gasket that fits? How about raising comp. Turn the bottom of the cyl then move the port heights back up or leave them? How much can I safely take off cyl to make a difference. Thanks

I don't believe there is any RM that has a similar size head gasket. I'm going to send my head out for machining to have the compression ratio increased. I'm sure you could custom make a thinner base gasket or custom order a thinner head gasket if you didn't want to alter the port timing. John Baker at GasketsToGo.com can have just about any gasket custom made for you if you can provide a CAD file or a sample gasket for him to scan. If Cometic offers a PE head gasket, they can do custom thicknesses as well but are limited to what copper thickness options they have

TS185, TS250, PE250, RS250 and RM250 all use same head stud spacing as 175 so look at head gaskets from those. It might require asking ebay sellers to measure some for you or just take a gamble and order a bunch and measure yourself. If some are no good then just re-sell them.
