Highly delighted that I have an age related plate for my 82 Z ,two attempts and a month later DVLA finally stopped being pedantic and registered my bike for road use . They originally wouldn't accept letters from UK 's oldest Suzuki dealer Eddie Crooks ,or Suzuki UK confirming it was imported new in 1982 and is a UK spec bike . Instead I had to get a very nice ,full colour letter headed certificate from the vintage Japanese motorcycle club at a cost of £35 ,seems the wording has to be exact on the dating cert . Just got to find the correct length speedo cable and It'll do me ,just to know how far I can go without running out of fuel .

Congratulations! I don't have any of my dirtbikes registered for the street, but in areas where one can do a lot of trail riding with official roads connecting different trails, I definitely would be eager to do so! I'm glad for you that yours finally went through after a long road of red tape. Enjoy it!
