How the headlamp plate should be?

Hi there,

I just purchased a PE175 '82.

I'm wondering how the headlamp plate can be. I have this yellow part but I cannot figure how it is fitted

In the USA the 175 PE came with this style headlamp.

It appears your headlamp is a style similar to that which came on only the first year 1977 250 PE here in the USA . What you call the yellow piece is the same as the black headlight bucket already on the motorcycle?
Just swap them if you prefer yellow?
Or perhaps someone in France has a better answer?

The yellow part is smaller than the black one so that I can't swap

Black is the only color of that style headlight that I'm familiar with.
Does the yellow part have any information stamped on it?
Other Japanese motorcycles likely used similar assemblies so it might be from another brand, or model.
Basically, I don't know, does anyone else?
