Hi,
Time to show my first Motocross bike - got it when I was 16 (?) years old.
Put it apart, restored it, used a lot of NOS parts, painting, polishing. Then, tried to start the engine - nothing. Hours and hours of useless try.... Finally, I've thorwn it into the garage.
But as my Grand Ma said: Everythings comes to an good end.
Cheers, Jozel

Nice bike. It's simpler to restore a running motorcycle ;-) But don't give up hope, first step would be to check for spark.... Does it have spark? If not, and you painted the frame, you might have to scrape some paint off where the coil is mounted, otherwise it won't work... ;-) And then checking the individual electrical parts with a multimeter as the owner manual shows is next ... Then report back ;-) Maybe someone here can help.

Hi Chuck, Thanks for answering. Yes, I checked the spark already, but it seems too low (means, there is spark, but only a little). So I bought another ignition, cause the old one was 'manipulated' by soldering on the coils somehow. I haven't installed it, buit I'm sure this will be the reason. Unfortunately, I spend my time at the moment for the PE, will post some pics her later.
Cheers, Jochen
