Hello from Michigan! Recently picked up a 1978 Suzuki PE250 and am in the process of getting it back up and running well again. Looking forward to learning some stuff here as well as hopefully contributing something to help others. Did not know this forum existed until I read it in the PE thread on the ADVrider site.
Not sure how to add photos on this site yet, but when I figure it out I'll post up some pics of my bike.

Lucky you, are you near the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? I rode the Six Days of Michigan twice, even took the ferry to Drummond Island for a little ride. Of course, I brought both a DRS350 and a DR350 for that ride. It was great.

Welcome! I'm restoring a '77 PE250 this winter myself, and I'm south of you a ways in central Ohio. The U.P. looks to have some real good riding, but I always head south myself. The Appalachian hills are where it's at in the Eastern US! Check out Hatfield McCoy trail systems in West Virginia if you ever make any far road trips to ride.
And please, post photos of your bike & progress!

I grew up in Grand Haven, spent many hours riding the woods of western Michigan. Got stationed at KI Sawyer near Marquette in the U.P., rode my Husky 125CR all over the place when it wasn't snowing!
