Hi everyone, Im about to embark on bringing back my lovely old PE 175 back to life and so pleased to have found your community. I’d be really grateful of your help and advise please to do it the justice it deserves. With the winter fast approaching now and reading all of your threads my enthusiasm has certainly been rekindled. Generally the bike is in great shape true and straight. Sadly the front end was completely wrong, sporting a 90s trail bike disc set up and incorrect forks. Am I right in thinking the triple trees are correct at 36 mm for the stanchions Visually they definitely seem to match all the many photos I’ve looked at for this model PE.
I mistakenly bought a set of forks I thought were correct but they turned out to be earlier PE units with shorter travel and stepped stanchions. Does anyone have a set of front forks, front wheel, brake backplate brake arm and wheel spacers, they would be happy to sell? Also looking for a speedo and cable, headlight, tank retaining strap and Carburetter to airbox hose.
All the best, Rick.

Suzuki Airbox Intake Rubber Boot PE175 1980 1981
Even more at Motoduro. Possible source for forks. Download the Suzuki Parts program from Luke's repository to learn which models share parts. Download the manuals for your model too. And review the various areas on the forum for information. As to getting parts from others here, that may not be your best bet as parts that are difficult to find are perhaps being hoarded, you will do better looking at eBay and other sites. But maybe you will hear from someone? Search All Of Craigslist and cross your fingers. from the search....be careful of scams. Welcome and good luck with your build.

Many thanks for your quick response, I am most grateful for the info. Here in the UK there seems to be very little available for these, but remain hopeful, although mindful I’m most likely to find some decent parts your side of the pond. I’ll post some pics as and when progress is made. Best regards. Rick

This probably won't help you currently... We are restoring a PE and a DS Suzuki. We found some of the parts at Wemoto on your side of the pond.
Another source I use over there is cmsnl.com. If you join their site, (free), when you look up a part, when you scroll down it will show a list of ALL models that part fits. Excellent intervhange info!
Then, of course, E-bay and Facebook Marketplace.
Good luck, Vettepilot
